Inside TKSpirit Week: Learning, Bonding, and Growing!

Our recent TKSpirit Week gave our girls a wonderful opportunity to step beyond the classroom, strengthen friendships, and explore future paths. Here is a quick look at what each level experienced: 

One of the highlights for our Sec 1s was when they took their learning into the community, applying Math and English concepts on a lively "Stats to Stories" trail at various hawker centre in our neighbourhood.

Career Day was a key highlight for our Secondary Two students. Alongside learning journeys to a wide range of industries, students had the privilege of hearing from four accomplished TKGS alumnae who returned home to share their professional journeys, personal experiences and words of encouragement.

Their stories offered students valuable insights into the many pathways available after school and inspired them to pursue their aspirations with confidence, courage and purpose. 

Reflecting on the experience, Leia Xinhui Kwan-Foo (2I2) shared, "I enjoyed the learning journeys because I was immersed in real-life situations and discovered new interests. The new knowledge I gained can also be applied to my academic learning as well as my own hobbies."

For our Secondary Three students, the cohort sandcastle-building activity was a memorable opportunity to collaborate beyond the classroom. Working together under the sun, each class designed and built a sandcastle that brought its shared vision to life. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork and communication while strengthening class bonds. Yeo Kai Xuan, Keianne (3I2) reflected, "The week allowed me to unwind and recharge after weeks of studying. It also gave me the opportunity to bond with my classmates, something we don't often have time for amidst our lessons and other commitments."

TKSpirit Week concluded on a high note for our Secondary Four students through C-Sparks, a programme designed to celebrate their final year together as a cohort. Through shared experiences and meaningful moments with their classmates, students created lasting memories before embarking on the next chapter of their educational journey. Gracie Anne Goh (4H4) shared, "I enjoyed myself tremendously in the game rooms we visited and loved being able to bond with my classmates during our last year together."

Alyssya Syaizryna (3R1) reflected, "My favourite part of TKSpirit Week was attending the Drama and Dance combined musical. Watching my friends perform on stage was truly mesmerising. You could really feel the pride and support everyone had for one another, and it reminded me of the strong sense of community we share as TKGians." 

From authentic learning experiences and career exploration to meaningful friendships and shared memories, TKSpirit Week truly empowered us to embrace new opportunities with confidence and purpose.
