And it’s a wrap!
What better way to round off 2026 than with our TKSpirit Week! Despite the haze requiring adjustments to several planned activities, our TKGians embraced the changes with resilience, adaptability and enthusiasm, making the week one filled with meaningful learning, shared laughter and lasting memories.
For our Secondary 1 TKGians, the week offered opportunities to explore creativity, critical thinking and social responsibility. From making plantable paper at an upcycling workshop and experiencing inclusive play through Goalball, to developing and presenting ideas on managing Bird Paradise during the Haze situation, the girls put their learning into practice in meaningful ways.
They also participated in community outreach at Hougang Avenue 1. Balachandar Pranitha (1H4) shared, “the experience was meaningful as I had the opportunity to speak with residents about the dangers of killer litter.”
For our Secondary 2 TKGians, the Adventure Camp was brought on campus, with high-element activities conducted at HomeTeamNS Action Motion @ Bedok. Through rafting, field cooking and team challenges, the girls strengthened their friendships and learnt the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Rebecca Meyer (2R1) reflected, "the rafting experience taught me how to plan ahead with my team and stay resilient even when we faced challenges."
Our Secondary 3 TKGians also enjoyed opportunities to strengthen their teamwork, creativity and appreciation for cultural traditions through Kin-Ball, an Angklung workshop and the Domino Challenge. These activities encouraged collaboration, communication and problem-solving as the girls worked together to overcome challenges. "What a meaningful week! Despite the haze, we still managed to bond as a class through the enjoyable activities we did together,” shares Cait Lim (3H4).
Our TKGians also enjoyed a screening of the local animated movie: The Violinist, followed by an insightful Q&A session with the film's co-producer, Mr Leonard Lai. The experience offered a glimpse into the world of filmmaking and storytelling.
The week concluded with a mass class breakfast and our school's mass dance, bringing everyone together in a celebration of friendship and school spirit.
As we close 2026, TKSpirit Week reminds us of the joy of learning, the courage to embrace challenges and the strength of a community where every girl is valued, supported and empowered to shine.
Thank you for making 2026 a year to remember. Wishing all TKGians a restful and meaningful holiday!
