Our annual Leaders’ Investiture marked the meaningful passing of leadership to a new group of student leaders committed to serving with purpose. It also honoured the leaders of 2025, whose passion, dedication and integrity have embodied the spirit of servant leadership and inspired future generations of leaders.
This year, on 26th May, we were privileged to welcome our Guest-of-Honour, Mr David Lim, who led the first Singaporean team to conquer Mount Everest. Despite later becoming paralysed, he remained resilient and continued to take on new challenges, underscoring for us the power of courage and perseverance as leaders in uncertainty.
At the heart of the Investiture was the handing-over ceremony—a symbolic passing of the torch from the graduating Secondary 4 leaders to the incoming Secondary 3 cohort. The moment marked more than a change in leadership; it signified the continuation of a legacy built by generations of student leaders. As the newly appointed leaders officially took over the mantle from their seniors, many experienced a mix of gratitude, anticipation, and determination as they embraced the responsibilities of their new roles.
For Rachel Chua, Head of Student Engagement, Prefectorial Board, the occasion was a "bittersweet moment," one that strengthened her resolve to give her absolute best in carrying the role forward. Reflecting on the transition, Head of Community Relations Arielle Ho shared, "While we had remarkable predecessors to follow, stepping into this new chapter with the Prefectorial Board EXCO filled me not with doubt, but with an overwhelming sense of excitement, purpose, and readiness to serve." Echoing this commitment, Head of Class Committee Exco Nurun Nuha reflected that "true leaders do not leave anyone behind," underscoring her resolve to lead with inclusivity and care. Likewise, newly invested Head of Sports, Student Leaders Network, Kayla Chan shared that she would be guided by "supporting others and celebrating their achievements, not just her own," as she embraces the opportunity to serve and uplift those around her.
The event ignited in our leaders a greater passion to serve, and we look forward to seeing our new leaders flourish as demure and resolute women.
